In Baltimore, a gathering took place with the purpose of challenging stereotypes about fathers. The event sought to connect dads with beneficial resources.
Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott and City Council member Paris Gray led participants in a stroller walk at Cylburn Arboretum. The initiative intended to foster a sense of community and support among fathers.
Sean Branch Jr. was among the attendees, proudly pushing his 3-week-old son in a stroller. As he navigated the path lined with trees, a gentle breeze provided a welcome relief from the warmth. His attire included a black shirt with purple lettering reading, ‘My First Father’s Day,’ symbolizing his new journey into fatherhood.
