Biscuitville Ranked Best Fast-Food Breakfast Chain Again
Biscuitville has been named America’s top fast-food breakfast chain for the fourth consecutive year. Despite operating in just three states, the Southern breakfast chain surpassed national giants like McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Burger King, and Wendy’s in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
Krisite Mitchell, Biscuitville’s chief marketing officer, emphasized the significance of this achievement within the competitive fast-food breakfast sector. “We have earned it, but we don’t want to live in a space where we come to expect it,” Mitchell remarked.
Biscuitville operates 90 locations across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia and recently opened its 90th restaurant. The family-owned company plans to continue expanding in current markets and hopes to eventually move into states like Tennessee and Georgia.
Biscuitville’s signature product is its scratch-made biscuits, prepared fresh every 15 minutes from a simple three-ingredient recipe.
Mitchell insists the appeal of Biscuitville extends beyond its biscuits. “We have no microwaves,” she noted. “There’s no instant anything in our kitchens.” Eggs are hand-cracked, and no partially cooked items are served here, requiring careful planning and labor to maintain efficiency at the drive-thru.
Feedback from customers often praises the homemade taste of the biscuits, with many likening them to their grandmother’s recipe.
Celebrity chef Jason Smith, a contender on the upcoming season of Fox’s “The Floor,” acknowledges Biscuitville’s place among top breakfast chains. “Do I agree it’s the best breakfast biscuit sandwich I’ve ever had?” he shared with Fox News Digital, “Well, no, but it would come in a high second on my list.” Smith attributes his personal top choice to Tudor’s Biscuit World, based on its use of butter, which he considers essential for Southern biscuits.
Mitchell believes Southern breakfast staples such as biscuits, grits, and eggs resonate with diners, even those who didn’t grow up with them. “I think it’s bigger than just the biscuit,” Mitchell said, stressing the overall breakfast experience offered by Biscuitville.
