Blake Monroe’s SmackDown Debut: A Tribute to Her Loved Ones

Blake Monroe made an impactful in-ring debut on “Friday Night SmackDown.” WWE fans were eager to see her entrance and her performance against Giulia. Known for her impressive entrance in NXT, many hoped she would bring the vanity mirror with her for her SmackDown debut. However, this did not happen.

As Monroe made her way to the ring at Ball Arena in Denver on October 2, 2026, she appeared in a distinctive sheer robe adorned with showgirl-style feathers. While some fans were disappointed without the mirror, Monroe explained the significance of her feathered attire on Instagram.

“My journey started 9 years ago,” Monroe wrote. “The night before my first class, I was filled with fear. Despite years in theater, I never experienced nerves like this. An unexpected sign gave me the courage to pursue my dream.”

“A feather on my windshield reminded me of my grandmother, who had recently passed. She was an inspiring woman who influenced my life. That feather felt like a message from her, urging me to pursue my dreams.”

Monroe shared how important chasing her dreams has been. Sadly, her grandad passed away just weeks before her debut.

She kept her struggles private but found comfort through another feather found during a hair appointment, which felt like a message from her grandad.

Reflecting on her feathered fan entrance, she saw it as more than just a performance. Monroe expressed feeling her grandparents’ presence, supporting her in a new country while she pursued her dreams.

“Thank you for supporting me in my dreams,” she concluded. “Last night was for you. I love you and miss you.”

In her debut match, Monroe defeated Giulia. She countered a move from Giulia, which led to her victory. Monroe joined WWE last year and was an NXT Women’s North American Champion before advancing to the main roster.
