Body Discovered at Property Owned by Ayanna Pressley’s Husband
A body has been found at a rental property owned by Conan Harris, husband of Democratic Massachusetts Representative Ayanna Pressley. The incident occurred in Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood.
The Boston Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to the Malta Street address on Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased individual. The person’s identity has yet to be disclosed. The department’s homicide unit is currently leading the investigation into the matter.
Property records, reviewed by CBS News, attribute ownership of the two-story rental home, valued at approximately $919,000, to Conan Harris. Harris and Pressley have been married since 2014.
Conan Harris expressed his gratitude and concern on Facebook, stating, “Thank you everyone for the care and concern, our family is safe.” He extended his condolences, saying, “My heart goes out to the family that lost a loved one today in Mattapan.”
A spokesperson for Representative Pressley conveyed the Congresswoman’s sympathies, noting, “The Congresswoman extends her deepest condolences to the impacted family.”
Further updates are expected as the investigation continues. Newsweek has sought additional information from both the Boston Police Department and Representative Pressley’s office.
