Brandi Glanville Faces Health Challenges Amid Ringworm Concerns

Reality star Brandi Glanville, 53, recently opened up about a health scare involving a potential throat infection on her podcast “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered.” She shared her concerns about contracting a “sexually transmitted ringworm” after dating someone in the adult industry.

During the podcast, former adult film star Lisa Ann mentioned the common nature of such infections in her industry. Ann explained that makeup artists are trained to check for symptoms because of the contagious nature of the infection.

“We had to train our makeup artists that when a new member of talent would show up, they would have to get naked in a window where there’s good light, and they would inspect their body to see if they see any patches,” Ann said.

According to the Mayo Clinic, ringworm is a highly contagious fungal infection affecting the skin, hair, or nails. Its name is misleading as it is not caused by a worm.

Glanville expressed her struggles with the condition. She noted inconclusive test results and suspected the infection might also include staph due to her symptoms. Her partner had a background in wrestling, which she speculated might have been a source of the infection.

This isn’t Glanville’s first medical concern. She had facial paralysis after visiting Morocco in 2023, initially diagnosed as stress-induced angioedema. Doctors later suspected a parasite, which she felt moving in her face. Angioedema is a skin reaction that affects deeper layers and can occur alone or with hives, according to the Mayo Clinic.

In February, Glanville discovered her health issues were related to ruptured breast implants from 20 years earlier. Before this revelation, she had spent over $70,000 seeking a solution to her medical mystery.
