Brittany Mahomes has gained a reputation for her spirited antics related to her husband Patrick Mahomes’ football career. Despite mixed reactions from fans, she continues to engage with those tracking the Kansas City Chiefs. On Sunday night, her trolling was evident once more.
During a recent game between the Kansas City Current and Portland Thorns FC at CPKC Stadium, Brittany shared images of her game-day outfit. She attended as the Chiefs clinched a narrow victory over the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium, winning 30-27. Her photo caption referenced an earlier comment from Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak, who expressed confidence in his team’s chances.
“We’re winning. We’re gonna win the game,” she quoted, echoing Kubiak’s halftime statement. At that point, the Raiders led 13-10.
Kubiak told CBS’ Tracy Wolfson, “We’re going to win the game.” He may have underestimated Patrick Mahomes’ skills.
In the game’s fourth quarter, Patrick Mahomes steered the Chiefs through three touchdown drives, outpacing the Raiders 20-14. With 3:21 left, he connected on a major play to Tyquan Thornton, who unfortunately took an injury, followed by Kenneth Walker’s touchdown. The subsequent kickoff saw the Raiders fumble, ending in another Walker score.
Although the Raiders closed in with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to Brock Bowers, Cousins’ later interception cemented the Chiefs’ win, marking Kansas City’s 4-0 season start, while the Raiders fell to 3-1.
After the game, Patrick Mahomes reflected, “I think you have to stay with it. I keep saying it, but it’s not always going to be pretty. That’s a good football team, a good defense. It’s not going to always be light it up and go out there and scoring 50 points. Stay with the process, it’s going to come.”
