Indiana Fever standout Caitlin Clark took on the role of grand marshal for the Indianapolis 500, infusing her presence into the celebrated event held on Sunday.
The Fever shared multiple clips of Clark at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. One video highlighted the large number of fans eager to see the WNBA star. As grand marshal, Clark urged drivers to proceed to their vehicles, marking the start of the race preparations.

Clark expressed in a statement before the race her excitement about participating in the Indiana tradition. She noted her enthusiasm to be part of the iconic event known as ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.’
Clark’s company in the role of grand marshal includes notable personalities like Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, and Blake Shelton.
J. Douglas Boles, president of IndyCar and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, recognized the anticipation surrounding Clark’s involvement. He credited the collaboration with Gainbridge for allowing fans to share in the special experience with Caitlin.
Caitlin Clark ranks among top WNBA players and enjoys significant popularity. She aims to steer the Fever back into playoff contention. Despite missing an earlier game due to injury, she returned to play against the Golden State Valkyries.
Clark’s performance against the Valkyries bolstered the Fever’s victory, where she scored 22 points and assisted nine times, concluding the match with a 90-82 win.
