William Carrier, forward for the Hurricanes, recently celebrated the team’s victory by using the Stanley Cup in an unusual way. Carrier treated the Cup as a vessel for poutine, a popular Quebecois dish consisting of French fries, brown gravy, and cheese curds. Keeper of the Cup Phil Pritchard shared a video showing Carrier and others preparing poutine in the trophy’s bowl.

Safety precautions were taken by lining the Cup with parchment paper, not only facilitating clean-up but also ensuring hygiene. Such measures are wise, considering the Cup’s varied history, including being used as a bathtub for children, which might not be appetizing.

Carrier previously won the Stanley Cup with the Vegas Golden Knights in 2023, marking his second career championship. This success and his creative celebration method have captured attention and appreciation.
