Challenges of the Colorado River Diversion

The ongoing diversion of the Colorado River has led to significant environmental concerns. This diversion is contributing to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions which are leading to the drying out of the Southwest. Decision-makers are now considering accelerating the diversion process to address these issues.
