Chipotle Celebrates FIFA World Cup Kickoff with Special Promotion
Chipotle is launching a one-day promotion in celebration of the FIFA World Cup, offering fans a chance to enjoy a free meal. Customers can participate in the “Matchday BOGO” event by donning a soccer jersey when visiting participating Chipotle locations on June 11. This buy-one-get-one-free offer aligns with the start of the global men’s soccer tournament and is available in thousands of restaurants worldwide.
Details of the June 11 Chipotle BOGO Deal
The June 11 promotion allows guests to receive a complimentary entrée when purchasing another entrée of equal or greater value. This BOGO deal is valid only on Thursday, June 11, starting from 3 p.m. local time. To redeem the offer, customers must visit participating restaurants in person and wear a soccer jersey.
A spokesperson from Chipotle shared with Newsweek that the “Matchday BOGO” is active from 3 p.m. to closing time at all Chipotle locations in the U.S., Canada, U.K., France, and Germany. The deal includes some limitations: up to five free entrées per transaction, and it is not combinable with other offers or available for online or delivery orders.
Eligibility for the Chipotle BOGO Offer
To take part in the deal, customers need to wear a soccer jersey at participating Chipotle restaurants. The promotion is open to all, with each free entrée linked to a qualifying purchase made by the jersey-wearing customer.
Included Menu Items
The BOGO offer applies to Chipotle entrées, which include burritos, bowls, tacos, and salads. Each free item must accompany the purchase of another entrée of equal or greater value. Kids’ meals are excluded from the promotion, and the offer is not valid for catering, mobile, online, or delivery orders, or combined with other discounts.
Alongside the food promotion, Chipotle is unveiling a limited-edition soccer jersey as part of the campaign. Only 53 jerseys are available, not sold in stores, but through the Chipotle Rewards Exchange program. From June 10 to June 24, members can use rewards points, typically 10 points per entry, to enter the drawing for a chance to win. The jersey features “Real Chipotle” on the front and “53” on the back, symbolizing the brand’s ingredients.
“Every four years, this tournament creates an unmatched sense of excitement, pride, and community among fans around the world,” Stephanie Perdue, Chipotle’s senior vice president of brand marketing, stated. “We wanted to celebrate the rituals that make the experience so memorable, from wearing lucky jerseys to gathering for matchday meals with Chipotle.”
