Victor Marx, Colorado’s Republican gubernatorial nominee, has gained attention for comments made in a podcast episode where he claimed to have met Satan through a person. These remarks were originally reported by Talking Points Memo. Marx, a former Marine and leader of a Christian ministry, shared this account in a 2020 episode of his podcast.
Marx recounted a specific incident that took place while he was praying for a girl in a high-security youth prison in Texas. He described how the girl began to manifest a demon, the experience being so intense that other inmates in the facility crowded together in fear. Marx said the demon made its presence known, stating its identity as Satan.
Despite the girl’s innocent appearance, Marx claimed he could sense the demon within her. The demon reportedly responded to him by asking if he would label her as possessed, to which Marx simply laughed, suggesting that the presence of the demon was apparent.
Victor Marx is the founder of All Things Possible Ministries, a Christian organization dedicated to freeing individuals from spiritual, emotional, and physical captivity.
Earlier this summer, Marx made headlines when he secured the GOP gubernatorial nomination and introduced an all-Marine campaign ticket. He is partnering with Col. George Markert, a retired Marine, positioning themselves as political outsiders who can effectively challenge a democratic socialist movement gaining traction in various races.
His campaign emphasizes public safety, social conservatism, and addressing living costs. This occurs amidst significant Democratic wins in national primary elections, including in Colorado, where democratic socialist Melat Kiros defeated incumbent Rep. Diana DeGette.
Marx faces Democratic candidate Phil Weiser, the current Attorney General, who is expected to win the gubernatorial race following the end of Gov. Jared Polis’s term.
