Concerns Raised Before Fatal Shooting at Seattle Festival

A content creator highlighted security concerns at the Bite of Seattle food festival just a day before a tragic shooting occurred, resulting in three deaths and four injuries. The incident took place around 6 p.m. on Sunday during the event, which features numerous food and retail vendors along with performers.

Police are actively investigating the shooting and have advised the public to steer clear of the area near downtown Seattle. Authorities have apprehended one suspect and are searching for another. According to Assistant Seattle Police Chief Tyrone Davis, initial findings suggest that the suspects were exchanging gunfire with each other.

On Saturday, a TikTok user known as “leebotracks” shared a video expressing concerns about the lack of security at the festival. The creator documented his visit and noted the absence of checks and bag searches for attendees. He urged festival organizers to implement tighter security, saying, “Make it happen. Keep the people safe. You should not be able to just walk up into this festival with all these people, with all these vendors, with no security.”

Following the shooting, “leebotracks” addressed his earlier warnings in a new video on Sunday night. He said, “I tried to let everybody know how security was being handled. Nobody can say I didn’t try to let people know. People really were bashing me in my comment sections on the previous videos.”

The exact security measures in place during the festival remain unclear. Organizers previously stated they had a “strong record of security” after addressing a break-in complaint last year.
