Congress Supports Investigation into Neville Roy Singham’s Alleged Financial Crimes
Top members of Congress are backing a federal grand jury investigation into alleged financial crimes by Neville Roy Singham, who is accused of funding socialist, communist, and Marxist organizations. Singham reportedly channeled $278 million into various nonprofits since 2017. Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche authorized a grand jury in Manhattan to issue subpoenas concerning Singham’s financial network. U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton for the Southern District of New York spearheaded the investigation, recognizing the district’s role in significant federal prosecutions.
Senator Jim Banks, R-Indiana, publicly criticized Singham for his alleged support of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Banks stated, “Neville Singham is a traitor to our country. He is an American citizen, but all of his loyalties lie with the Chinese Communist Party.” According to Banks, Singham’s financial contributions support groups in America advocating not only ideologies but also violence.
Concerns were raised about CodePink—a nonprofit co-founded by Singham’s wife, Jodie Evans—that received funds from Singham. CodePink, along with Evans, has not responded to inquiries from Fox News Digital.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent reportedly warned Goldman Sachs Chairman and CEO David Solomon about Goldman Sachs’ potential scrutiny due to alleged involvement in the financial funneling by Singham. Solomon reportedly agreed to assist federal investigators, ensuring compliance with the law.
Banks, serving on the Senate Banking Committee, indicated that Goldman Sachs’ cooperation is positive. However, he cautioned that Wall Street must be wary of collaborating with entities connected to foreign adversaries like the CCP.
Concerns also arise regarding CodePink’s potential violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). Banks accused CodePink of acting as an agent of CCP influence in the U.S. without proper registration under FARA.
Lawmakers including Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Texas, emphasized the threat posed by foreign-aligned NGOs like those Singham funds. Fallon underscored the commitment to dismantling networks that propagate CCP propaganda and foster division in the U.S.
Additionally, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, R-Mo., highlighted the grand jury investigation as overdue, advocating for accountability regarding Singham’s links to the CCP. Smith accused Singham of leveraging tax-exempt statuses to finance civil unrest.
A Fox News Digital investigation presented a video of Singham advocating for a “new world order” endorsed by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the “Global South Academic Forum” in Beijing.
Singham’s financial activities, routed through Goldman Sachs Donor Advised Philanthropy Fund For Wealth Management Inc., reportedly include over $22 million to People’s Forum Inc. in Manhattan and $223 million across global organizations.
