Custodians Found Shot in Chicago School

Two custodians were tragically found shot to death inside a Chicago elementary school on Monday. According to reports, one custodian allegedly killed the other before taking his own life. The incident occurred at Mark Twain Elementary School.

The Chicago Police Department reported finding an unresponsive 48-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man just after 3:30 p.m. Both individuals suffered a single gunshot wound to the head and were later pronounced dead at local hospitals.

The SEIU Local 73, representing Chicago Public Schools custodial employees, verified that both victims worked at the elementary school. Executive Vice President Trumaine Reeves extended condolences to the victims’ families and the school community.
