Recently unsealed court affidavits have provided detailed insights into an alleged plot by a group to attack a UFC event at the White House. Investigators outline plans involving drones, sniper positions, and crowd manipulation. The documents reveal a plan aimed at politicians and other high-profile attendees.
Operational Maps and Plans
The affidavits include maps with proposed operational positions around the White House. Handwritten notes instructed members to align teams at marked spots for strategic advantage. One note indicated an escape route toward a river.
The group allegedly planned a demonstration on the White House north side while explosive drones would detonate above the UFC arena. The aim was to force crowds and high-value targets south toward armed group members.
Targeted Individuals
Targets named included several politicians: Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, West Virginia Senators Jim Justice and Shelley Moore Capito, and Representatives Carol Miller and Riley Moore. Affidavits linked these targets to receiving money from pro-Israel PACs.
Group Dynamics and Ideologies
Suspects, including Tycen Proper and others—Bryan Omar Roa, Michael Alan Thomas, Daniel Eskridge, and Abraham Alvarez—interacted online as an ex-military and Christian group. Ultra-religious and anti-government sentiments fueled their grievances.
Investigators detail grievances such as government corruption, mishandling of Epstein files, and water consumption issues due to data centers. The FBI Special Agent Christopher S. Betts documented these points in the affidavit.
Network and Interactions
Insights into the network emerged from devices owned by Proper, forwardened first by his family, concerned about his behavior. Proper detailed an online network connection originally through TikTok, gradually moving to encrypted platforms like Signal and SimpleX.
The network included primary chats of about 19 individuals, with smaller groups formed by specific roles and locations. Discussions included equipment images and planning elements like escape routes.
Shooting Exercises and Training
Proper identified Roa and Thomas engaged in tactical shooting exercises. Documents illustrate their meeting to practice shooting, described as guerrilla warfare training.
Evidence and Materials
Recovered evidence includes annotated maps, encrypted chat screenshots, and photographs of firearms for the operation. Maps refer to counter sniper and drone markers, indicating specific operational locations and escape routes.
Images highlight mission planning and reconnaissance. Annotations denote areas near Washington labeled for extraction post-attack. Other images display rifles, ammunition, body armor, and tactical gear seized in raids.
Significantly, planning materials align with photographs and videos from UFC Freedom 250, an event where former President Donald Trump was seated with other attendees.
Legal Proceedings and Charges
The five suspects face multiple federal charges. Proper is charged with conspiracy to offend against the U.S., attempted murder of a federal official, and firearm-related crimes. Thomas and Roa face conspiracy to commit murder charges alongside Eskridge. Alvarez faces conspiracy to offend and commit murder charges.
The charges include potential life sentences under federal law, with additional time for firearm-related offenses if convicted.
