Dolce & Gabbana’s Seaside-Inspired Menswear at Milan Fashion Week
During Milan Fashion Week, Dolce & Gabbana showcased a menswear collection designed for both the rigorous summer heat and relaxing days at the Sicilian coast. Models strutted down a runway inspired by seaside vistas, wearing laser-cut suits, short shorts, and light knitwear.
Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana set the scene with a video backdrop portraying a rocky coastline at sunset. The models navigated between columns reminiscent of a Mediterranean terrace, dressed in swimwear and silk pajamas.
As the show’s pace accelerated with the rising sun, the collection featured laser-cut suits, tunics, and loose trousers crafted to provide comfort in the heat. These pieces are ideal for transitioning from city business to coastal leisure. A remarkable accessory highlighted was a large travel bag made from leather, suede, and raffia.
The shorts were designed to flaunt muscular legs, while loose-knit tops accentuated torsos. Suit jackets included unique upright lapels and novel rear details, with back panels offering the option to unbutton for more ventilation. The brand’s craftsmanship shone through in woven leather jackets and matching footwear.
Signature embellishments such as rhinestones on denim and coral beading on suits, shirts, and trousers added flair. The collection also embraced religious motifs, featuring cross necklaces akin to rosaries and icons on T-shirts.
The show concluded with models donned in a series of all-white attires, embodying crisp summer aesthetics.
Notable front-row attendees were Polish footballer Robert Lewandowski, NBA star Kawhi Leonard, Italian actor Michèle Morrone of Netflix’s “365 Days,” and K-pop singer Soobin.
