Drew Carey has publicly criticized Spencer Pratt’s campaign for the Los Angeles mayoral position. The host of “The Price is Right” took to social media to express his views, urging Los Angeles residents to reconsider before the June primaries.
“Anyone who votes for, or endorses Spencer Pratt for Mayor of LA needs to get their head out of their a–,” Carey wrote in his post. He emphasized supporting a competent candidate rather than someone he accused of being a “serial scammer” lacking moral integrity.
Pratt, known for his television career, has been an advocate for LA citizens, particularly after losing his home in the 2025 Palisades wildfire. He initiated his mayoral campaign earlier this year, focusing on replacing incumbent Mayor Karen Bass, whom he criticized for her handling of the LA fires.
In the lawsuit filed this year, Pratt, his wife Heidi Montag, and other property owners accused the city and the Department of Water and Power (LADWP) of operational failures that contributed to fire damages. They claimed LADWP opted to keep the water supply system inadequately maintained as a cost-saving measure.
Pratt has been vocal about his ambitions for LA. In a recent social media post, he implored residents to aspire for a better city, referencing Los Angeles as “the greatest slice of heaven on Earth” and encouraging a vote for positive change.
His campaign has faced opposition from political party lines, particularly concerning his Republican registration and support from former President Donald Trump. Despite this, Pratt claims his candidacy stems from a desire to improve life in LA, regardless of partisan affiliations.
Pratt stated, “I’m just Spencer, husband to Heidi, father to Ryker and Gunner, and I’m a pissed off Angeleno who loves my city and is fed up with what corrupt politicians have done to her.”
While Pratt is registered as a Republican, the upcoming mayoral election is nonpartisan, with the top candidates facing off if no one achieves over 50% in the June 2 primaries.
