Education and Citizenship: A Kansas Perspective

Education in reading and math holds significance beyond academia; it is intricately linked with preparing individuals for active citizenship. The combination of these subjects plays a fundamental role in equipping people for the responsibilities of citizenship.

Upon returning home to participate in the Kansas Book Festival in Topeka, I will continue my tradition of highlighting the virtues and accomplishments of Kansas. During the festival, I will discuss themes from my work, How to Raise a Citizen (and Why It’s Up to You to Do It). Joining me will be Kansas Supreme Court Chief Justice Eric Rosen and Mr. Beat, an educator and YouTuber who has reached millions through his online history teachings.
