Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania criticized Maine Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner as a “creeper” and linked him to Nazi sympathies due to recent scandals. This criticism arose during Fetterman’s conversation with reporters in Washington, D.C. after reports detailed questionable behavior by Platner.
Recent revelations indicated Platner sent explicit messages to six women while married, using Kik, a platform notorious for enabling illicit activities. Fetterman questioned Platner’s activities, stating to CNN, “What kind of a creeper has spent a decade on a platform like Kik, and sends a dozen explicit kinds of messages and who knows what else?”
Fetterman also derided Platner, referring to him as “P-Hustle,” referencing Platner’s former Reddit username. Platner allegedly posted controversial comments on Reddit regarding sexual assault and a wounded soldier.
Another point of contention is Platner’s tattoo, which resembled a Nazi symbol and was exposed for 18 years before being covered. Fetterman remarked, “All I’m saying is when I was growing up, if someone had a clear Nazi tattoo on them, you probably could conclude that they’re a Nazi sympathizer.”
Despite his strong critiques, Fetterman did not extend support to Platner’s Republican opponent, Senator Susan Collins. He stressed the need for collaboration if Platner wins the election.
Additionally, Fetterman criticized Democrats who have extended excuses for Platner’s controversies. He drew a parallel with previous incidents involving other Democrats, remarking on the reluctance to hold accountable figures like Swalwell involved in comparable issues.
Fox News reached out to Platner’s campaign for comments on the situation. Lindsay Kornick, associate editor for Fox News Digital, contributed to this piece. Tips can be sent to her email or Twitter.
