Five Americans lost their lives in a helicopter crash in northern Kenya on Wednesday, as confirmed by the U.S. State Department. The accident took place with seven individuals aboard the helicopter around 9 a.m. in a mountainous area near Kirish in Samburu County, per the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority.
Among those who perished was José Suárez, a Telemundo executive responsible for overseeing several stations in Florida. César Conde, NBCUniversal News Group Chairman, identified Suárez in a message to employees, NBC News reported.
