A football coach at Tracy High School in California was arrested after students found a cellphone recording in the locker room. Jeffrey Pribble, a 48-year-old teacher and the school’s varsity football head coach, is accused of secretly filming students while they changed.
Pribble has served as Tracy High’s varsity football head coach for five years and has a 22-year tenure within the school district. The incident was uncovered when students discovered the phone recording on Thursday. They stopped the recording, deleted the video, and handed the device to a teacher. A concerned parent then informed the police, initiating an investigation.
The Tracy Police Department confirmed that Pribble owned the phone. In response, the school district placed him on leave pending investigations by both the district and law enforcement.
Principal Jon Waggle communicated the arrest to parents through an email. He emphasized the district’s dedication to student safety and ethical standards, assuring that the school continues to collaborate closely with police.
Tracy Police Chief Sekou Millington reiterated the importance of student safety and privacy, praising the swift actions of both students and officers involved in the case.
