On Monday, the United States launched strikes on Iran, targeting missile sites and Iranian vessels. In response, Iran has vowed to retaliate, accusing the U.S. of severely violating a nearly seven-week-old fragile ceasefire between the two countries.
The Iranian foreign ministry criticized the U.S. actions, labeling them a “gross violation” of the ceasefire terms. In a statement, the ministry emphasized that Iran would not leave any hostile act unanswered and would actively defend its national integrity.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, spoke firmly, saying regional countries could no longer protect U.S. bases. “The clock cannot be turned back,” Khamenei stated in a message shared on Telegram. He asserted that the regions in question will not function as a shield for American military installations.
Khamenei also addressed the broader Islamic community, suggesting that sentiments against America and Israel would become central slogans for oppressed individuals worldwide, particularly among the youth.
A statement urged, “From now on, the slogans ‘Death to America’ and ‘Death to Israel’ will be those of the Islamic nation and the oppressed people.”
