Jake Paul’s Ambitious NFL Endeavor

Jake Paul, who transitioned from YouTube fame to professional boxing, faced skepticism when he started fighting. Many doubted his boxing career, given his matchups against retired MMA fighters like Anderson Silva, Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz, and a 58-year-old Mike Tyson.

Paul’s boxing record stands at 12 wins and 2 losses. However, his losses came against notable professional boxers Anthony Joshua and Tommy Fury. His sole victory against a recognized boxer was a decision win over a 39-year-old Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Paul’s match with Joshua was particularly harsh, resulting in a broken jaw and speculation about his career direction.

Now, at 29, Paul is eyeing a career in the NFL. He claims several teams are interested in signing him. “I have a couple of teams and coaches that I’ve already talked to that are interested in bringing me onto the team,” Paul said in an interview with Front Office Sports.

Paul’s last experience with competitive football was over a decade ago during his high school years at Westlake High, where he played varsity for two years. He left the sport to pursue entertainment, but believes he can excel as a wide receiver due to his perceived physical advantages.

“I think there’s a lot of mediocrity in the NFL,” Paul recently stated. He expressed confidence in surpassing the performance of many current NFL receivers, citing superior hands, speed, strength, and work ethic.

Paul dreams of playing for the Cleveland Browns, his childhood team. His mother is an ardent fan, which fuels his desire. However, Paul’s camp approached the Denver Broncos, but the team was not interested according to NFL insider Benjamin Albright.
