In Plymouth, Massachusetts, the lone holdout juror, Michael Desronvil, has publicly spoken about his role in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial, which concluded with a mistrial earlier this month. Desronvil, who had previously communicated via intermediaries, appeared in a video statement on Fox News’ ‘Hannity’ Monday evening, addressing the case directly for the first time.
Desronvil emphasized shifting the focus to the children involved in the case, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, whom he referred to as ‘the ones that can’t speak for themselves.’ He stressed the importance of remembering these individuals who lost their lives.
‘I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels,’ he said.
Desronvil also shared personal reflections, expressing gratitude for his Catholic faith and the support he received from loved ones.
‘I want to thank God for my Catholic faith,’ he said, speaking softly, ‘I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter. And foremost, I would like to thank everyone, every individual, that has supported me throughout this difficult situation.’
Prior statements from Desronvil had been issued through his attorney, Edward Paltzik, and FugitiveTV’s Ray Marcel. In previous expressions, he defended himself against other jurors’ claims that he harbored doubts about the prosecution’s case, which he refuted. Paltzik reiterated Desronvil’s stance in a separate interview, asserting Desronvil’s unwavering viewpoint.
‘Michael has zero doubt,’ Paltzik stated in an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany.
Amid these developments, Desronvil and his attorney have been confronted with allegations of prior domestic violence against Desronvil. Paltzik rejected these accusations, labeling them as fabricated.
‘Every single allegation against Michael is false, fabricated, never happened, categorically false,’ he said.
Tensions have elevated between Paltzik and Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington. Reddington has referred to Desronvil as ‘the obstructionist juror’ and advocated for an inquiry into allegations from other jurors who accused Desronvil of not complying with legal obligations during deliberations.
Lindsay Clancy’s case is set to proceed in court on Tuesday for a status conference. Prosecutors plan to update on the next steps for a new trial, while Clancy’s defense has submitted motions to dismiss charges and seek investigatory action into the jurors’ accusations directed at Desronvil.
