Carpentersville Rotary Blind Flights Fundraiser
The Carpentersville Rotary Club is hosting its Blind Flights beer tasting fundraiser on Saturday, July 11, from 1 to 5 p.m. in Carpenter Park, located at 275 Maple Ave., Carpentersville. Attendees will enjoy beer offerings from nine local beer-makers. The event will also feature live music, plus food available for purchase from No Manches and Duke’s Blues-N-BBQ, as mentioned on the club’s website. Anderson Humane Anniversary Benefit Concert
A benefit concert in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Anderson Humane will occur on Sunday, July 12, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the St. Charles Motorcycle Museum & Art Gallery, located at 1317 E. Fox River Trolley Museum’s ‘All Aboard Days’
The Fox River Trolley Museum will host “All Aboard Days,” offering specially adapted trolley rides for individuals with special needs, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, July 12 and August 9. According to the museum’s website, they will have sensory-friendly trolley rides and a quiet train. A sensory-friendly area in the Wayne depot will also be available. Free Concert at Lords Park Zoo
The Outset Trio will perform a free concert presented by Chamber Music on the Fox from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, July 13, at Lords Park Zoo, 325 Hiawatha Drive, Elgin. The performance will include pieces by composer Mark O’Connor, known for blending bluegrass, country, jazz, and classical genres, as noted on the Chamber on the Fox website. Seigle Foundation Education Grants
The Seigle Foundation has awarded a total of $356,250 in education grants to 11 nonprofit organizations. According to a press release, the grants were distributed to groups such as Alignment Collaborative for Education, Boys and Girls Clubs of North Central Illinois, and Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley, among others. Theresa Forthofer, CEO of Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley, stated that this funding helps overcome hurdles for families, enabling children with developmental disabilities to achieve meaningful milestones. AID Family Fun Event in Elgin
