Macklemore Removed from Ed Sheeran Tour for Pro-Palestine Comments

Macklemore, the rapper famed for early 2010s hits like “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us,” revealed a significant change in his touring plans. The rapper announced that Ed Sheeran’s team has decided to drop him as the opening act for Sheeran’s current tour.

The decision came after Macklemore shared pro-Palestine sentiments in a recent social media post. Messina Touring Group, responsible for promoting the tour, stated that the venues scheduled for the tour were not allowing Macklemore to perform.

These developments have emerged in the wake of ongoing debates surrounding artist expression and political statements. The impact of these decisions on Macklemore’s career and future performances remains a topic of interest.
