Oil prices experienced a slight dip following OPEC+’s announcement on Sunday that seven member nations intend to amplify oil production by a total of 188,000 barrels daily in August. This marks the fifth consecutive month of output increases.
The nations enhancing their production capacities include Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman. However, uncertainties regarding supply endure as negotiations with Iran concerning the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz are currently stalled due to ongoing funeral ceremonies for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
