Natalie Harp’s Devotion to President Trump Sparks Satirical Commentary
Natalie Harp, President Trump’s executive assistant, has recently been the subject of comedic portrayals on shows like Saturday Night Live and Jimmy Kimmel Live. These satirical segments have highlighted her perceived devotion to Trump, which has not gone unnoticed by critics, including Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff. He accused the president of choosing to spend time traveling with Harp rather than fulfilling his presidential duties.
In response to these portrayals, White House spokesman Davis Ingle defended Harp’s commitment to her role, stating, “Natalie Harp is one of the most loyal and hardest-working aides on President Trump’s team. The Fake News’s continued attacks on President Trump and his Administration prove exactly why trust in media is at historic lows. The media should focus on reporting real news and stop trying to smear dedicated public servants.”
Saturday Night Live
Harp was portrayed by comedian Ashley Padilla in an Saturday Night Live sketch on September 26. During the sketch, she interrupted a meeting between Trump and New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Harp’s entrance was marked by her enthusiastic demeanor and a humorous exchange with Trump, who quipped about her dedication, comparing her to a character from the movie Obsession.
Jimmy Kimmel Live
On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Harp was satirized by Molly McNearney, Kimmel’s wife, who portrayed the character “my assistant Natalie.” The skit played on themes of loyalty and devotion, as the character frequently returned to Kimmel, eager to assist him.
Natalie Harp’s Career
Harp gained Trump’s attention in 2019 through a LinkedIn post praising his Right to Try Act, which she credited for saving her life during cancer treatment. This led to appearances on Fox News and speaking at the 2020 Republican National Convention. She hosted shows for One America News Network until 2022, eventually joining Trump at Mar-a-Lago, where she earned the nickname “the human printer” for her consistent production of reading materials for Trump.
During Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, journalist Michael Wolff described Harp as Trump’s “gatekeeper.” She later joined him as his executive assistant in the White House in January 2025.
Loyalty to President Trump
Harp’s unwavering loyalty to Trump became evident through letters revealed by The Daily Beast, with sentiments declaring, “you are all that matters to me” and “Thank you for being my Guardian and Protector in this Life.” Her dedication has led to various public appearances, including accompanying Trump to a football game and a visit to Ireland.
Earlier this month, viral images purportedly showing Trump and Harp kissing were dismissed as AI-generated fabrications due to notable visual discrepancies. Nonetheless, Harp’s presence alongside Trump during travels has caught the attention of journalists and social media alike.
Throughout the satirical portrayals, Harp’s dedication to Trump remains a focal point of media and public interest. This coverage underscores her significance within Trump’s team and the ongoing discourse surrounding her role.
