NBA Thanksgiving Eve Triple-Header Features LeBron James’ New Team
The NBA has scheduled an exciting Thanksgiving Eve triple-header for the upcoming regular season, spotlighting LeBron James and his new team, the Philadelphia 76ers. The announcement highlighted three games for Wednesday, Nov. 25, as part of the annual Emirates NBA Cup.
The Philadelphia 76ers will meet Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Miami Heat at 5 p.m. ET. The matchup promises to be intense, with both teams enhancing their rosters significantly. Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves will then go up against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7:30 p.m. ET. Concluding the ESPN broadcast, Victor Wembanyama’s San Antonio Spurs will play Damian Lillard’s Portland Trail Blazers at 10 p.m. ET.
LeBron James formerly played for the Miami Heat, a team with which he secured two championships. Despite their interest in signing him during the offseason, James opted to pursue a title with Philadelphia. This decision came shortly after the 76ers traded for Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics, adding to a roster that already included NBA MVP Joel Embiid, All-Star Tyrese Maxey, and promising talent VJ Edgecombe.
