Separate Incident at University of Mississippi
Authorities confirmed that two University of Mississippi students were found dead amid a drug-related probe. Lafayette County Metro Narcotics released information regarding the investigation. They discovered packaged kratom, sold from a retail store, at both locations where the deaths occurred.
While officials have not confirmed a connection, the agency stated, “We do not have confirmed information indicating that kratom or other substances contributed to either death.”
The University of Mississippi expressed condolences for the loss of their students, emphasizing support for affected families and friends.
