President Donald Trump intensified his support for data centers on Monday. He warned critics that they risk jeopardizing opportunities by opposing these facilities, often essential for the AI industry’s growth. This statement came even as a growing number of Americans from both political parties show opposition to data centers.
Last Friday, Trump appeared at Johnson Space Center in Houston. During the visit, he awarded the Congressional Space Medal of Honor to members of the Artemis II crew. On Monday, he accused voters who oppose data centers of potentially ‘killing the golden goose’.
As polls indicate rising dissatisfaction with server farms, Trump remains firm in his stance. However, some Republicans running for office this year are increasingly critical of data centers, responding to this swelling public disapproval.
