President Donald Trump addressed world leaders at the United Nations, emphasizing the United States’ growing strength in various sectors. He highlighted advancements in the economy, military, and technology, particularly focusing on America’s leadership in the field of artificial intelligence.
Trump proposed rebranding artificial intelligence as “super intelligence,” emphasizing its importance. He assured the international community of America’s leading position in this area compared to China and other nations, vowing to maintain this lead.
Speaking at the U.N. General Assembly, Trump underscored broader American strength. He mentioned conflicts with Iran and urged nations to economically isolate Tehran. Highlighting a strategic agreement, he noted an increase in U.S. military presence in Greenland.
After continued tensions with Iran, Trump predicted a forthcoming deal post-midterm elections. He critiqued past administrations for the Iran issue and claimed U.S. military action deterred Iran from obtaining nuclear capabilities. He pointed out the benefits reaped by European nations from the U.S.’s stance.
“I hope the Europeans realize that Iran’s goal was to complete their mad dash to a nuclear bomb,” said Trump. “If they had succeeded, that wicked regime would have been free to spread terror and death forever.”
He thanked the U.N. Security Council for condemning Iran’s attacks and called for global economic isolation of Iran.
Trump also addressed Cuba, foreseeing significant changes in the communist nation following talks led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
“Communism will never be coming to America, but freedom will be coming to Cuba,” Trump declared.
He promised to protect the U.S. from foreign threats and criticized Cuba’s ties with radical groups in America. Cuban officials left the assembly when Trump described Cuba as a “failed state.”
Additionally, Trump praised the U.S. economy, noting growing jobs, reduced poverty, and tax cuts.
“The entire world is being lifted by the wealth… of a newly energized… United States,” he stated.
Trumpledged to prioritize America and rejected ideas of global governance or taxes. Recently, a trilateral security agreement involving the U.S., Denmark, and Greenland was announced, safeguarding Greenland from foreign military presence without U.S. consent.
Trump planned to meet with leaders from Denmark and Greenland to finalize the agreement.
