The Trump administration has announced new proposed guidelines that could significantly alter the operation of Head Start programs across the United States. Head Start, initiated in 1965 during President Johnson’s War on Poverty, currently provides education and support services to approximately 700,000 children aged three to five, alongside 160,000 infants and toddlers through the Early Head Start program.
