Rep. Ralph Norman, a Republican from South Carolina, expressed support for Sen. Darline Graham in the upcoming U.S. Senate general election. In a post shared on social media platform X, Norman emphasized his commitment to combating socialist Democrats and Republicans in Name Only (RINOs), stating, “My fight was never with other Republicans. It’s with the socialist Democrats and the RINOs who enable them.” Norman accepted the results of South Carolina voters and congratulated Graham on her victory in the Republican nomination.
Sen. Darline Graham was appointed by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster to fill the U.S. Senate vacancy left by her late brother, Sen. Lindsey Graham, whose death occurred in July. Backed by former President Donald Trump, Graham triumphed over Norman in the South Carolina Republican U.S. Senate primary runoff.
Norman reiterated his support in his remarks after losing the runoff, declaring his intention to support Graham “the best I can.” He acknowledged the reality of the situation and expressed concern over Graham’s campaign funding, which he claimed came largely from Washington D.C. and liberal political action committees.
Fox News Digital attempted to contact Graham’s campaign for comments but did not receive a reply. Efforts to reach Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s office for comment also proved unfruitful.
Sen. Darline Graham received congratulations from former President Trump at a campaign rally held at Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Meanwhile, Dr. Annie Andrews, the Democratic nominee, will compete against Graham in the general election.
