The alteration in Diddy’s release timeline comes after a reported incident at the FCI Fort Dix facility. It’s uncertain if the delay directly ties to the altercation. During the incident, an inmate allegedly made comments to Combs, which sparked the conflict, as reported by ABC News.

Diddy’s move to solitary confinement was confirmed by the outlet. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, however, did not provide details for privacy and security, choosing not to discuss inmate housing or whether individuals are subjects of investigations.

Background of Legal Troubles

In September 2024, authorities arrested Diddy on federal sex trafficking charges amid allegations of sexual misconduct. Further complicating the matter were lawsuits, investigations, and surveillance footage reportedly showing Diddy assaulting Cassie Ventura in a hotel corridor.

Convicted on two counts related to prostitution activities in July 2025, Diddy received a sentence exceeding four years. He also faced a potential life sentence on charges including racketeering and sex trafficking but was found not guilty on these serious accusations.

Legal Proceedings and Outcome

Cassie Ventura, once Diddy’s romantic partner, testified extensively in the trial and later left the U.S. following her testimony. Ultimately, the jury acquitted Diddy of the most severe charges but convicted him on lesser counts.
