Authorities suspect she is with her father, Christopher Meithof, aged 41. His last known residence is listed in Federal Way, Washington. Reports indicate he might be heading south toward Quartz Hill, California.
Suspect and Vehicle Information
Investigators urge the public to look out for Christopher Meithof’s vehicle. It is described as a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Oregon license plate 576 QNU.
Suspect Description: Meithof is six feet tall, weighs approximately 170 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes.
Victim Description: Amaya was last seen in a blue princess nightgown. Despite having common allergies, she is otherwise healthy.
According to public records, Christopher Meithof is on parole with a criminal history including burglary and weapons possession. The sheriff’s office confirmed he is Amaya’s father, though no further details were available as of midday Monday.
Family Appeals for Safe Return
Crystal Rose, Amaya’s mother, has made several emotional appeals on social media, calling on the community for help in finding her daughter.
“He came to visit her and took her and disappeared,” she wrote on Facebook. “I didn’t want it to come to this but this is not how we do things.”
Rose continued, “Please share this post with everyone you know. Please help me bring my peachy home safe.”
Attempts to contact Christopher Meithof were unsuccessful midday Monday, and Crystal Rose did not immediately reply to requests for further comments.
