Senator Investigates Fauci’s Concerns Over Vaccines and Pregnancy
A Republican senator is leading an investigation into Dr. Anthony Fauci’s old government phone records. The investigation focuses on Fauci’s private concerns about vaccines potentially causing miscarriages while publicly promoting their safety. Senator Ron Johnson, R-Wis., discussed the matter in an interview with Fox News Digital.
Johnson stated that the release of messages from Fauci’s phone shows a contradiction between his private and public stances. Johnson criticized what he sees as coercion of pregnant women into taking experimental gene therapy vaccines, a practice he finds concerning.
“We tell pregnant women don’t even have a glass of wine and yet we coerce them, convince them, sometimes mandate them, to get an experimental gene therapy as early as the first trimester,” Johnson said. “This is truly sick.”
Former NIH Director Anthony Fauci, whose texts are under scrutiny, had previously invoked his Fifth Amendment rights. The phone, obtained by Senators Johnson and Rand Paul, was part of a broader investigation into Fauci’s role as the former chief medical advisor to the president.
The investigation includes examining conversations from January 2021 involving Fauci, then CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, and Dr. Vivek Murthy, the current U.S. Surgeon General. Fauci expressed concerns about mRNA vaccines affecting pregnant women and potential miscarriages.
Johnson noted that while in private discussions Fauci acknowledged concerns, public statements and published data suggested a different narrative. He referred to a 2021 study in the New England Journal of Medicine concerning mRNA vaccine exposure during pregnancy.
The study reported 104 “spontaneous abortions” among 827 pregnancies. Johnson argues the numbers are misleading, emphasizing a high miscarriage rate in first and second trimester vaccinations. This contrasts with public health officials’ claims and publications.
“Of the 827 women, 700 got their vaccination or the injection in the third trimester, 127 got them in trimester one and two, which is where the 104 miscarriages occur,” Johnson said. “So the proper percentage is 104 divided by 127, an 82% miscarriage rate with women who got the injection in the first second trimester,” he continued.
Johnson’s investigation is in early stages, aiming to handle information carefully without exposing personal data. The senator seeks further evidence of inconsistencies between Fauci’s private communications and public pronouncements.
“This is going to take time, but when my staff saw this, I mean, to me, this immediately impacts public safety, immediately impacts informed consent,” Johnson said, indicating more revelations might follow.
Fox News Digital reached out to Fauci’s legal representatives for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
