Actress Sharon Stone recently appeared on Michelle Obama’s podcast, where she shared her thoughts on the availability of abortions and recounted her own experience. Stone revealed that she had an abortion at the age of 18, a secret she had kept. She discussed her lack of sexual knowledge at the time, mentioning that she was not informed about birth control.
Stone humorously remarked that if men were able to get pregnant, abortions might be accessible from vending machines. She criticized the current state of health care for women, expressing frustration over the lack of care for women and the prosecution of those who miscarry.
Michelle Obama responded to Stone’s vending machine comment, laughing and suggesting that if men could give birth, there would be a ‘birth Olympics,’ with men showcasing their labor experiences and receiving accolades.
Fox News Digital reached out to Stone’s representative but did not receive a direct comment from the actress. Laura Echevarria, National Right to Life’s communications director, criticized Stone’s remarks, emphasizing the seriousness of the abortion debate and the consequences it carries.
Kelsey Pritchard, from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, also responded to Stone’s comments, criticizing politicians’ abortion policies and suggesting they resort to rhetoric that alienates men.
Stone’s appearance followed her comments on Sydney Sweeney’s ad for a sports prediction platform. While she addressed Sweeney’s choices, she emphasized the importance of supporting women who succeed in sports.
