Spencer Pratt has issued a strong response to Governor Gavin Newsom’s endorsement of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, alleging connections between them. Kayleigh McEnany has highlighted concerns regarding Bass’s controversial homelessness program in Los Angeles, which reportedly spent $418 million with only a small percentage resulting in effectively housing people off the streets.
Pratt, casting a light on alleged corruption, also raised issues about animal abuse on Skid Row. He emphasizes his faith-driven mission to create a safer environment in Los Angeles, especially for mothers and children. Recent polls show that Pratt’s campaign makes significant strides in the race against Bass.
As the mayoral election nears, candidates such as Bass, a second-term contender, Pratt, and city council member Nithya Raman, have been actively campaigning. Polls suggest a highly competitive race, with no candidate expected to secure more than 50% of the vote, leading to a potential runoff.
Backed by prominent Democrats like former Vice President Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom, Bass campaigned at the Yosemite Recreation Center. During an Instagram livestream, she targeted Pratt, alluding to his background in reality television paired with references to Donald Trump, questioning the implications of a reality TV star in a powerful position.
Pratt criticized Raman’s campaign ads on social media and pointed out recent polls, encouraging voters to take action against significant campaign spending. His criticism of Bass centers on issues such as wildfires, homelessness, and crime in Los Angeles. He’s gained support from reality TV figures, musicians, and media personalities.
Despite his growing popularity and endorsements, Pratt, a registered Republican, faces hurdles in a city dominated by Democratic candidates.
