SummerSlam is one of WWE’s major events of the summer. This year, it takes place at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, home to the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings. The event starts at 6 p.m. ET on both Saturday and Sunday. Fans can watch on ESPN Unlimited. Here are previews and predictions for each match:
Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, and Paige vs. Jacy Jayne, Lainey Reid, and Fallon Henley
This match features a battle between old and new. The Bellas and Paige face off against Fatal Influence. Reid and Henley took the women’s tag team titles from Brie Bella and Paige at Saturday Night’s Main Event. With Nikki Bella back, a significant grudge match will take place at SummerSlam.
Prediction: Fatal Influence defeats The Bellas and Paige.
LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, and Royce Keys vs. Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso
LA Knight, still popular within WWE, participates in a six-man tag team match. This time, he is against The Usos, teaming with Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys against The Bloodline. Sikoa’s rejection of The Bloodline and Knight’s long-standing feud with them sets the stage for a compelling encounter. Keys is also eager for the battle, knowing Fatu well.
Prediction: The Bloodline emerges victorious over Knight, Sikoa, and Keys.
Liv Morgan (c) vs. Iyo Sky for the Women’s World Championship
Liv Morgan aims to defend her title against Iyo Sky. Sky won the Queen of the Ring tournament and, after defeating Morgan, selected her as the target. Morgan’s reign began after defeating Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania 42 but faces a tough opponent in Sky.
Prediction: Iyo Sky reclaims her position at the top of the women’s division.
Gunther vs. Nick Aldis
Nick Aldis returns to the ring after a hiatus due to injuries. His long-standing conflict with Gunther comes to a head at SummerSlam. Gunther, feeling sidelined by Aldis, challenged him, resulting in this anticipated match.
Prediction: Gunther wins in a challenging match.
Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar
Oba Femi delays his King of the Ring chance to face Brock Lesnar in a trilogy fight, which will be held in a Hell in a Cell. This high-stakes match could be a highlight of the weekend. Femi aims to defeat Lesnar for the last time, while Lesnar seeks to prove he remains a formidable competitor.
Prediction: Femi secures victory and enters the world title scene.
CM Punk (c) vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship
Before WrestleMania 42, tensions between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes were already high. Their rivalry led to an explosive confrontation, reigniting at SummerSlam with the championship title on the line. Punk, who defeated Sami Zayn for the title, faces Rhodes, who seeks his chance at the championship.
Prediction: Punk retains the championship.
