The unexpected closure of a well-known surrogacy agency last year led to considerable financial losses for many clients. These individuals, who had invested tens of thousands of dollars, were not only deprived of their funds but also of their anticipated journey to parenthood.
Last week, the U.S. Justice Department formally charged the owner of the agency, Surro Connections, along with her husband. They face allegations of fraud and money laundering.
In December 2025, law enforcement was visibly active outside the residence of Megan Hall-Greenberg in Washougal, Washington, indicating the severity of the case.
