Taste of Naperville Offers Diverse Dining Deals
Naperville introduces its inaugural Taste of Naperville event, allowing diners to experience a variety of dishes from over two dozen local restaurants. These establishments are offering special deals on signature dishes, with prices starting at $5. The event, which began on October 9, will run through October 18.
Participants include popular downtown venues such as Empire Burgers + Brew and Bangkok Village, alongside south Naperville spots like Bar Louie and Kabab King Grill. I think it matches up nicely where we are with the economy, kind of meeting people where they are at right now with higher gas prices,
said Naperville Development Partnership President Monica Conners. She emphasized the importance of budget-friendly activities in current times.
The original plan for Taste of Naperville was to conduct a large-scale outdoor festival similar to Taste of Chicago. However, logistical challenges led to the creation of this smaller-scale event. It’s a big investment for the restaurants, especially having a first one because you don’t know what to expect,
Conners explained.
Tapville Social, located at 216 S. Washington St., is one of the participants, offering diverse selections such as beer cheese fries and honey-butter chicken sliders starting at $5. General Manager Malachi Aviles expressed the benefits of participating, stating, This is my first year with this company, so I figure there’s no better way to get your name out there, have a good time, be part of the community.
Tapville aims to attract new customers with these enticing offers.
Bar Louie, expecting customer growth between 15 to 20%, is providing several deals including $10 offerings of bruschetta, cheese quesadilla, and Bavarian pretzels with garlic butter glaze, alongside a $15 chicken nachos option. General Manager Ashley Rambo mentioned, When we saw the opportunity to do this, it was kind of super exciting because we were like, ‘Oh, it’s just like Restaurant Week,’ but it was a little twist, something a little different.
She hopes these offerings will draw more patrons.
