Pro wrestling athlete Tessa Blanchard has announced her departure from Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). Blanchard’s request to be released from the company was granted, as confirmed by Fox News Digital. Her upcoming plans include addressing this decision on Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre’s (CMLL) YouTube channel, where she currently performs.

Blanchard, recognized as one of the leading female wrestlers globally, holds significant achievements in her career. She was ranked No. 92 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s list last year and reached the No. 5 position in 2019.

A notable moment in her career was participating in the U.S. vs. Canada Border Brawl, held in Niagara Falls, Ontario, on May 25, 2025. Her departure was initially reported by Fightful Select.

Blanchard’s wrestling lineage is remarkable. She is a third-generation wrestler, being the daughter of Tully Blanchard and granddaughter of Joe Blanchard, a well-known promoter. Her stepfather is Magnum T.A., adding to her rich wrestling heritage.

From 2018 to 2020, Blanchard was part of TNA, returning to the company in 2024 after endeavors with Women of Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. Blanchard holds historical accolades, being the first woman to win the TNA World Championship. She also held the TNA Knockouts Championship.
