A man died after being pushed from a moving train in Chicago, with a 15-year-old girl now facing murder charges related to the incident.
Incident Details
Kyle Bickham, aged 29, was identified by his family as the victim who lost his life on September 7. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) train incident occurred during an altercation when, according to police, three suspects pushed him from a moving Red Line train around 2:40 p.m. Bickham tragically hit the electrified third rail and was struck by an oncoming train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Chicago Police Department released a statement on Saturday, indicating that a 15-year-old girl is charged with first-degree murder. Additionally, she faces charges of mob action and felony assault of a transit employee. The investigation is ongoing, and police have not yet confirmed if other suspects are identified.
“He was just trying to make an honest day’s living, and this is what happened,” said Latanya Bickham, Kyle’s mother.

Kyle Bickham had been returning home from an overnight shift at an Amazon facility in Cicero. His family described him as someone dedicated to his work, aiming to secure a prosperous future.
Chris Bickham Jr., his brother, set up a GoFundMe to assist with funeral expenses. He shared memories of Kyle, emphasizing his vibrant personality:
“Kyle was a son, brother, uncle, family member, and friend who was loved by so many,” Chris Bickham Jr. wrote. “He was a light, goofy, kind, caring, and always able to bring laughter to those around him. His passing was sudden, and our family is asking for help giving Kyle the homegoing he deserves and sending him home to the Lord.”
Chris further noted:
“Kyle was loved. Kyle mattered. His light will never be forgotten.”
Bickham’s family urges witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
