Travis Kelce delivered an outstanding performance during the Kansas City Chiefs’ overtime win against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night. He managed nine receptions from 11 targets, covering 101 yards and securing a touchdown. This marks the first time Kelce surpassed 100 receiving yards in a regular-season game since November 4, 2024, against the Houston Texans. He previously achieved 117 yards against the Texans in the playoffs on January 18, 2025.

The Chiefs’ tight end celebrated a successful touchdown during the first half of the game against the Colts on September 20, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. Despite being 36, Kelce acknowledges his mobility isn’t what it once was at 26. However, Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid hinted at additional motivation for Kelce, referencing his marriage.
“Trav worked his tail off,” Reid told reporters. He emphasized Kelce’s dedication to hard work and his connection with the team as motivating factors. Reid addressed speculation about Kelce’s fitness levels following his wedding, noting the athlete’s commitment to maintaining top condition.
Reid also suggested that Kelce’s wife, Taylor Swift, could contribute to his motivation. “I’m sure she kicks him in the butt a little bit there, too,” he added.
Swift attended both of the Chiefs’ games this season. She proudly displayed her wedding ring and cheered for Kelce when he scored a touchdown, exclaiming, “That’s my husband.” Reid commented on Kelce’s offseason focus on enhancing physical strength and speed, which has kept him performing at a high level.
The Chiefs secured a narrow 33-30 victory over the Colts, boosting their record to 2-0 at the start of the season. Ryan Gaydos serves as a senior editor for Fox News Digital.
