Two Illegal Immigrants Accused in NYPD Detective Stabbing
Illegal migrant Alexis Antonio Cedillos-Campos has been arrested for allegedly stabbing Virginia mother Carmen Lizet Puch on a hiking trail in Great Falls. Former Secret Service agent Charles Marino discusses the suspect’s prior release by the current administration and demands accountability on ‘Fox & Friends First’.
In a separate incident, Dangelo Rafael Jean Caraballo, 25, and Sneider Mejia Bautista, 24, Dominican citizens living illegally in the U.S., face accusations of attempted murder. The two are alleged to have stabbed off-duty NYPD Detective Jose Mercedes during a robbery attempt.
Caraballo and Bautista reportedly tried to steal Mercedes’ gold chain while he was near his car. Mercedes resisted, and the two attackers allegedly stabbed and slashed him multiple times. Despite injuries, Mercedes pursued them for two blocks before collapsing. He was hospitalized and later released.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin stated the crime might have been avoided without the current administration’s border policies. Mullin criticized New York’s sanctuary policies and urged cooperation to capture the fugitives.
Both men illegally entered through Arizona and were released by the administration. They have extensive criminal records. Caraballo’s arrests include reckless endangerment and driving, unlawful fleeing, possession of burglar’s tools, illegal firearm possession, and menacing with a weapon. Bautista’s record involves criminal possession of stolen property, burglar’s tools, grand larceny, and weapon charges.
ICE had lodged detainers against them, but local authorities released them following sanctuary policies in New York City. The DHS stated Bautista was released so quickly that ICE could not file detainers in time.
