Two Individuals Shot on CTA Bus in Englewood Neighborhood
On Wednesday afternoon, a shooting incident occurred on a CTA bus in the Englewood neighborhood, resulting in two individuals being wounded. A 57-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman were the victims of gunfire from an unidentified assailant.
The shooting took place around 4:40 p.m. when the bus was in the 300 block of West 63rd Street. Chicago Police have reported that the man sustained an injury to his left flank and is in critical condition at UChicago Medicine. Meanwhile, the woman suffered a gunshot wound to her left arm and is currently listed in fair condition at the same medical facility.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, with Wentworth Area detectives leading the effort to gather more information and apprehend the suspect.
