If Monday feels off, it’s because I’m operating at about 55% after catching something from the kids brought home from school. It hit hard on Saturday and made for a challenging Sunday with all the symptoms. Despite feeling uncomfortable, it’s not enough to call in sick. The discomfort isn’t enough to stop me from delivering another edition of America’s Best Daily Column according to readers.
On a brighter note, I can share that Screencaps Jr. has made significant progress in his cross-country journey. On Saturday, he completed his race in 11:45:30, securing sixth place out of 238 runners. This is 30 seconds faster than his previous personal record. Jr.’s team came first overall, and our top runner clocked 10:49.60, just two seconds shy of the school record. It’s shaping up to be a promising season.
WISCONSIN PARENT STORMS FIELD DURING YOUTH FOOTBALL GAME AND TRIPS 9-YEAR-OLD KID IN WILD SCENE
In other youth sports news, there was quite an incident involving a youth football coach in Pittsburgh over the weekend. The video from Ryan Crux on Facebook shows the chaos as his son’s team tried to tie the game late in the fourth quarter, but the game was forfeited due to the coaches. Crux wrote about having to protect his son from the coaches’ actions.
The cross-country event we attended didn’t have any drama like that. No yelling parents, just a peaceful invitational.

Over the weekend, Screencaps Jr. brought home a flyer detailing the 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. Instead of straightforward information, we must navigate websites and accept cookies. The cost is $1,500, covering three nights in a hotel, bus transport, admissions, and meals. If the price feels steep, WorldStrides offers social media tools to solicit funds from family and friends.
Linda Cohn, SportsCenter Anchor known for putting fans first, announces retirement from ESPN

Little League World Series Moments
Mike N. shared his experience of watching the LLWS third-place game. Japan was losing 0-2, but a young player’s base hit brought them closer. The boy’s tears struck an emotional chord, and Mike rooted for him. Mike hoped the kid’s tears weren’t related to fear of his parents.
NASCAR Coverage on NBC
