Vincent Pastore, widely recognized for his role in the television series ‘The Sopranos,’ has passed away at the age of 80, as confirmed by his manager to CBS News. His portrayal of Salvatore ‘Big Pussy’ Bonpensiero made him a significant figure in the show, which aired from 1999 to 2007.

Born in the Bronx on July 14, 1946, Pastore’s early life included service in the Vietnam War. He then pursued higher education, obtaining a degree in drama from Pace University.

Pastore’s acting career was diverse and impactful, featuring roles in notable films like ‘Goodfellas,’ ‘Carlito’s Way,’ and ‘Men of Respect.’ His television appearances were equally extensive, including shows such as ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ ‘Law & Order,’ ‘Blue Bloods,’ and ‘General Hospital.’
