Killer Kross, a prominent figure in professional wrestling, has achieved the title of Major League Wrestling (MLW) world heavyweight champion. Known for his fierce presence in the ring, he has climbed the ranks by defeating opponents in events like Battle Riot VIII, held in January.
Outside the ring, Kross shares his life with his wife, fellow professional wrestler Scarlett Bordeaux, and their unexpected feline companion. During an interview with Fox News Digital, Kross recounted his experience with adopting a cat, despite being allergic to them all his life.
“So, I’m allergic to cats, like deathly allergic,” Kross revealed. He described how a stray kitten appeared at their doorstep about a year and a half ago. The couple often encountered stray animals and felt compelled to offer them food, even while traveling.
“My wife and I, about a year and a half ago, noticed there’s a kitten at our door. And every once in a while, we would see stray cats around.”
The kitten reappeared after weeks, leading Kross and Bordeaux to regularly feed it. Over time, the cat began leaving small ‘gifts’ at their door. Curious about cat behavior, Kross researched and learned more about these animals.
As a hurricane approached, the couple faced a dilemma. “We felt so bad,” Kross explained. They set up cat structures and toys outside to protect the feline. Ultimately, the kitten settled near their home, despite Kross’s allergies.
A critical moment arrived when the cat suffered an attack and required urgent veterinary care. Kross invested thousands of dollars to ensure the stray received medical treatment, finding it surprisingly friendly and disease-free.
“We had to put a cone on its head. We can’t let a stray out there with a cone on its head.”
To accommodate the recovering cat, Kross and Bordeaux dedicated a room inside their home. With the assistance of their two dogs, who showed an affinity for the cat, the household adapted to this new member.
Kross’s prior allergies seem to have vanished, allowing him to enjoy having the cat around. “It’s awesome. It’s a hilarious personality. It’s very smart,” he shared, praising the pet’s intelligence and rapport with the dogs.
These personal anecdotes contrast with Kross’s wrestling persona, “Killer.” As “MLW Fusion” returns to the global streaming platform, fans can experience the intensity of the ring while Kross continues his gentle life with his newfound feline friend.
